Health & Wellness at The Blue Bells
The world offers both opportunities as well as challenges, and we need to prepare our children for both. At Blue Bells, we believe that it is not enough for our students to be academically sound; they must imbibe the right values and develop essential life skills during their formative years. This is why the school has established a robust and thoroughly well-regulated Health & Wellness Programme which sensitively addresses core issues faced by children and seeks to further their socio-emotional well-being and holistic development.
Spearheaded by Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director- Health & Wellness, the Programme has, since its inception, worked tirelessly to tap the hidden potential of students by offering them a wide platform to express themselves freely.
Some of the typical needs of students and the ways in which we address them:
Critical life skills
Life skill classes, inculcating values through audiovisual and other media
Emotional balance
Identifying and naming emotions (for younger children)
Creative and critical thinking skills
Audiovisual and other media
Learning adaptive coping styles
Sessions on stress, substance abuse,
Problem-solving skills
Time management, goal setting
Empathy
